A Tradition to Behold
In Myanmar, it has been a long tradition to have a prayer ceremony to bless for the success of the movie, to pray for the safety of everyone involved and the movie before starting the production. Mandalay Productions hosted the FIRST prayer ceremony at Dhamma Nanda Vihara Monastery at Half Moon Bay, California for the Burmese American Feature Film (picture above on the left) and hosted the SECOND prayer ceremony at Shwedagon Pagoda at Yangon, Myanmar (picture above on the right). Our main objectives are to bless the launching of production and principal photography for our first co-produced Burmese American feature film, titled “Myittar”, and also to pray for all the disadvantaged orphans in Myanmar. Furthermore, it is also to pray for the safety of both MP teams in Myanmar and in America during the shootings.
